Homework help
Calm, steady support with schoolwork
Homework can be the hardest part of a family's evening. I take that weight off you, sitting alongside your child to work through it patiently — so it becomes a settled routine rather than a nightly battle.
I'm training in primary education and have worked inside a Key Stage 2 classroom, so I know the work your child is bringing home and the way it's meant to be taught. Rather than simply handing over answers, I help them understand what a question is really asking, plan how to approach it, and check it over themselves — the small habits that make homework quicker and less daunting over time.
Just as importantly, I keep it calm. When a child is anxious or tired, learning stops, so we work at a gentle pace, break big tasks into manageable pieces, and finish on something they feel good about. My aim is for your child to grow more independent, not more reliant on me.
How I can help
- Working through set homework across primary and early-secondary subjects
- Building routines — how to start, plan and check a piece of work
- Filling small gaps that make homework feel harder than it should
- Gentle encouragement so confidence grows alongside the habits
Sessions are online across the UK, or in person if you're near Durham. If you're not sure whether homework help or fuller tutoring is the better fit, a free introductory call is the easiest place to work it out together.
